      Latest Mission

 

  • A volunteer team of doctors, nurses and technicians performed heart surgery for ten patients in 2005 as part of one of the largest philanthropic efforts in Guam’s health care history.

  • Guam is only cardiac care center in the region and serves as the central tertiary care center for all of the Micronesian islands

  • MRF plans to make four trips a year to perform cardiac-related surgeries.
  • Focus is catheterization, up to twelve surgeries a trip.
  • Future plans include placing stents and performing angioplasty.
  • Over $250,000 in medical equipment has been donated to Guam Memorial Hospital.
  • These efforts are sponsored in partnership with Valley Heart Association. 
  • Patients identified as most in need of the surgery incur no cost for services rendered.

 

 

      Furture Goals:
